Since the early 90s Usher has been putting his life into his music. At the tender age of 13 he competed on the nationally televised performance competition Star Search. He was spotted by an A&R representative from LaFace Records. The A&R arranged an audition with the co-founder of LaFace Records, LA Reid. Reid signed Usher to his imprint and vowed to make Usher a star. To date Usher has sold over 23 million records, in the United States alone, and continues to sell out concert venues all around the world. Many have compared him to the late great Michael Jackson. However with success comes great adversity. In this intimate documentary we explore the trials and triumphs of the legend, known to the world as Usher.
